![]() The last chance to see me act in Natalie Menna's "Occasionally Nothing" directed by Ivette Dumeng for the Planet Connections Festivity is this Saturday at 3:15pm. Click here for tickets! Read Anthony P. Pennino's review on The Modernist Beat, which proclaims that "Theatre of the Absurd is alive and well in the 21st Century". "Menna’s dialogue crackles with energy and wit...and the collaboration of Menna, Dumeng, and Wiese conveys the overwhelming feeling of despair that that condition has on all the characters on stage. It is a beautiful moment of raw emotional power, and it takes one’s breath away." Edmon Malon from the Outer-Stage reports that there's "much to enjoy" with this "one-hour roller coaster ride" in which "Facts are very much at issue... but everyone has a different viewpoint."

The world is nearing its' end. In a bizarre bomb shelter, Harry , Clay and Luella, British expats, cope by taunting each other with warped games of verbal wordplays , and by blurring each other's realities while losing touch with their own. A bleak glimpse at life in the wake of a Drumpf presidency, where wars abound, words have lost their meaning, and people have lost their way. How did the world get there? So if you're interested in coming out to see me, be sure to bookmark this page and get your tickets as soon as they go on sale. In JUNE I will be acting in the play, "Occasionally Nothing" by the brilliant Natalie Menna, directed by the resourceful and savvy Ivette Dumeng, founder of Nylon Fusion as a part of the Planet Connections Festivity. If you ever wanted to hear me speak like a hard core Brit ex-pat, you'll want to see this. I am looking forward to a great time rehearsing and mounting this production, as well as a strong likelihood of speaking in Mancunian dialect non stop until halfway through July. Tickets go on sale May 24th. Then keep your eyes peeled for my next production which will go up this AUGUST. Yesterday marked the first production meeting for The Shelter's Threshold Series. I have been developing my play, "The Other Kids Ran Away" through The Shelter's Sunday workshops for the past few years, and am excited to be working with the talented and skilled director, Kat Yen on this workshop performance with live action actors and a set and lighting to boot. Keep in touch as we settle on performance dates. ![]() If you haven't had a chance to get your tickets to The Shelter's production of Ghost Light, you can do so here. The show will be running for 2 weekends, February 20-March 3 and it's a fantastic display of talented writers, directors and performers in a night of theater told by the shine of the solitary ghost light. The ghost light is a standard in theaters everywhere, left on, even when the theater is empty for safety? Luck? Superstition? Speculation abounds to the true source of this tradition and these plays bask in that glow. I am acting in a piece entitled, On With the Show, written by Michael Sean McGuiness, directed by Olivia Killingsworth with my co-actors Aubrey Ball and Loren Dunn. It is short but chilling and I look forward to grabbing you...umm...after the show. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer sun. This summer has been a slight break for me but luckily I have had a couple of opportunities to perform. A couple of weeks ago I played a newscaster for the lead in to the music video for the electronicore band, I See Stars. You can check it out HERE. It was produced by Ash Avildsen and Frankie Nasso with Nova Entertainment Group. It's a very creative video and well produced. I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
Earlier this summer I also hung out with the cast of The Widowers in Elden, NY while we shot a big scene in the movie. I am really excited about this film and glad I got to play the part I did. It is a dry, dark comedy by the writer, Richard Lovejoy about the process of grieving. The Widowers was produced by Charred Oaks Films and directed by Jonathan Scott Chinn. The film is in the editing process and seeking some post-production funding. Outside of film acting I am working on putting together a line up for the next installment of Nerdlesque: Politique and writing, writing, writing. Soak up all that vitamin D before the fall comes back in town! Look out for more to come this theater season.
My play "In the Ninth Month" received a reading as a part of the plays in progress during The Estrogenius Festival and was then selected to go up during the 5th week of the festival as part of the Estro Encores. I just met the director, Sharon Hunter who I am very excited to have direct my play and she has just cast it with an assortment of talented actors. Sticky this year will be switching to a deserted island/deserted cities them for which I wrote the play "Good Ol' American Dream... Again." It will perform this fall date TBA. Come to the Bowery Poetry Club at 7pm to see several brand spanking new plays. I will be acting in Sarah Wood's play "ABCD & Erin" directed by Ali Ayala. See you there!
This coming Monday will be another showcase of some of the ongoing work of the Shelter's writers. Brand spanking new theater offered up with food and drink for your enjoyment. Among the pieces will be the thrilling Kitty Lindsay's "Me and My McDonalds" which I will be reading. I am also directing Paco Lozano and Natalya Krimgold in my play "On Pies and Glass Cases." Come out and say hi this Monday night.
